Preservation of the saphenous vein, using the CHIVA, ASVAL and Hemodynamic Sclerotherapy technique:

Personalized mentoring on comprehensive venous health for Angiologists and Vascular Surgeons.

Dr. Felipe Faccini

Only Brazilian member of the Global CHIVA Advisory Panel and introducer of the systematized technique in the country.

Pró-Safena Mentorship is a program aimed at healthcare professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge about preserving the saphenous vein during varicose vein surgery. Many surgeons face difficulties in mastering venous techniques after training, and this mentorship was created to fill this gap. The creator of the mentorship shares his own experience of searching for knowledge, which led him to study in Europe and discover advanced methods, such as the CHIVA technique. After years of practice and success in surgeries that preserved the saphenous vein, he developed this teaching methodology.

Mentorship offers complete training in techniques that aim to treat varicose veins without removing the saphenous vein, providing a safer and more effective approach. Additionally, it includes online consultancy for six months after the course, allowing ongoing support for participants.

Certification in CHIVA and preserved saphenous veins is a career differentiator from which few Brazilian doctors have benefited.

Pró-Safena Mentorship offers doctors an increase in performance, scientific knowledge, surgical expertise and venous control, in addition to reducing costs with expensive supplies and procedures. It condenses years of study, experience and investment in global training, easily delivering the knowledge necessary to treat venous disease. The objective is to raise the level of knowledge of mentees and promote the growth of the CHIVA technique in the country, benefiting both doctors and patients.

LESS SPENDING ON EQUIPMENT, MORE RESULTS FOR YOUR PATIENTS AND MORE MONEY IN YOUR CLINIC

THEORETICAL SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

Consists of the theoretical module, the introduction of knowledge about the principles of hemodynamics and the performance of surgical procedures preserving the saphenous vein;

Module 1 - theoretical can be carried out alone, it brings expertise to the mentee in venous technique, helping him to improve procedures in his office and enabling him to perform the CHIVA technique in simpler cases and sclerotherpy;

Online and live classes, with an average duration of 5 to 7 class hours in total.

Prerequisite: prove that you are a doctor registered as a specialist in Angiology and/or Vascular Surgery;

To be successful, the students must have access to Doppler echo equipment in their daily lives;

Ideal knowledge of English: it is not mandatory but it is ideal that the mentee understands English as much of the hemodynamics literature is in English;

Although module 1 can be taken alone, to carry out procedures safely it is necessary for the mentee to continue practical studies in person through module 2.

Module 1 can be carried out together with module 2, both in person in Porto Alegre/Brazil, if the mentee so wishes.

Mentorship covers all certification topics to assist in an eventual certificate;

If it is necessary to prove service hours and procedures, course hours may be used;

Provision of Pró-Safena Mentorship Certificate in CHIVA in PDF format.

THEORETICAL DISCUSSION WITH THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM;

WE PRESENT YOU WITH THE PRINTED VERSION OF OUR BOOK IN ENGLISH ON THE SUBJECT: Hemodynamic Saphenous Preserving Procedures in Chronic Venous Disease: Can, and should, we preserve the saphenous vein?

PRACTICAL SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

It consists of the practical module, the practical and in-person Mentorship, for the follow-up of consultations and procedures in the city of Porto Alegre, RS.

Module 2 includes six (6) in-person consultation shifts, with theoretical discussions and surgeries with Dr. Felipe Faccini in Porto Alegre.

Prerequisites: Proof of being a physician with a specialist registration in Angiology and/or Vascular Surgery.

To maximize learning, the student should have access to an EcoDoppler device in their daily practice.

Ideal English proficiency: Not mandatory, but it is recommended that the mentee understands English, as a large portion of hemodynamic literature is in English.

Module 2 cannot be taken independently; it is conditional on the completion of Module 1.

Modules 1 and 2 can be taken together in an in-person format if the mentee wishes.

The mentorship covers all certification topics to assist in obtaining a potential certification.

If proof of consultation and procedure hours is required, the course hours can be used.

A Pró-Safena Mentorship Certificate in CHIVA will be provided.

Module 2 (practical) - Based on our previous experiences, provides the mentee with the expertise to perform basic CHIVA procedures, ASVAL, and Hemodynamic Sclerotherapy.

When referring to basic CHIVA, we mean procedures that do not involve the saphenofemoral junction, the Giacomini vein, or deep reflux. To perform cases with deep reflux, junction involvement, and Giacomini vein treatment, additional training is necessary after first handling simpler cases and building a solid hemodynamic foundation.

With this in mind, and to ensure the best learning experience for our mentees, Module 2 includes some additional bonuses. Among these, consultation of the mentee cases during 6 months.
